Three Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) in the Municipality of Quirino received a significant boost to their micro-enterprises after being awarded ₱200,000.00 each in additional livelihood assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 1 during a ceremonial awarding.

The beneficiary associations—PFL SLPA, BIPPAC SLPA, and Madapoy Tailoring SLPA—were selected to receive the additional financial grant to support, expand, and sustain their ongoing community livelihood projects.

The financial support, provided under DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), aims to strengthen community-based enterprises, improve economic resilience, and build sustainable income opportunities for local association members in the municipality.

The Local Government Unit of Quirino expressed its deep appreciation to DSWD Region 1 for its continued commitment to poverty alleviation and community empowerment, reaffirming the municipality’s commitment to backing local entrepreneurs as key drivers of regional economic growth.
